Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park lies within the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designated in 1984, the site includes four national parks: Jasper, Banff, Yoho and Kootenay and three provincial parks: Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber. This block constitutes one of the world's largest protected natural areas.  90 minute interpretive boat tours depart every hour on the hour throughout the summer season.
